Information for students
Students first arriving in Cambridge, either as postgraduates or as undergraduates are faced with a bewildering array of churches to choose from. In St. Edward’s our 5pm Sunday Meditative Eucharist may be of particular interest. This service, which has been growing over the past five years, is largely attended by the twentysomethings. It is a warm community and a welcoming one. The regulars normally go to ‘The Vaults’ in Trinity Street after the service to taste their range of cocktails. Anyone attending the service is more than happy to join them. It is always good to make new friends.
The 5pm service attracts a variety of university staff, postgraduates and undergraduates. A number of social activities have been arranged to cement these bonds, including theatre trips to see Jesus Christ Superstar at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge and Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre in London as well as a heavily subsidised week-long visit to Jerusalem and the Holy Land.
To be part of all this, simply come along to a 5pm service on any given Sunday and speak to one of the clergy or send an e-mail via our website.
Yours in Christ,
